Mental Health Training cum-Workshop: “Beyond the Classroom – Teachers as Mental Health Mentors for College Students”
This training cum-workshop is designed to sensitize and empower college teachers to recognize, understand, and respond effectively to the mental health needs of students beyond academic instruction. It focuses on building teachers’ capacity to act as mentors and first-line supporters by enhancing awareness about common mental health challenges among college students, early warning signs, stress management, emotional well-being, and supportive communication.
Through interactive sessions, case discussions, and practical strategies, the workshop aims to foster a compassionate, inclusive, and mentally healthy academic environment where teachers play a proactive role in guiding students toward resilience, well-being, and appropriate professional support when needed.
